84 Michael FischerThis is a makor issue not only for the citizens of Florida but also a major risk for foreign investors and tourists who think of Florida as being much more risky than it was prior to the 2005 hurricane season.

86 AnonymousIn the state of Florida the Windstorm Insurance companies have asked for an increase of 500 to 600 percent and that is on top of the huge increase last year. I must carry three different insurance policies because i have a mortage. They total more than my real estate taxes. They will all double this next renewal period. This will drive many people out of their homes. Your people need help. Do it now. Please.

91 Anonymouswind storm insurance is more expensive then property taxes. Fixed income homeowners are being driven from their homes by the huge preminums.

98 william kellnerInsurance companies are either leaving disaster areas, refusing to write insurance in these areas, or raising the rates to unconscionable levels for everyone. The only answer is a federally-insured system.
99 zimmermanThere are those of us with property insurance and flood insurance that could not get reimbursed by our insurance companies for flood damage. Even FEMA denied claims. Yet there are those with less extensive damage that got reimbursement from FEMA. There needs to be a balance.
