Petition in support for Casement Park Redevelopment Project We the undersigned, express our full support for Ulster GAA's Casement Park Redevelopment Project. This stadium, which will cater for 38,000 people all seated, will be an iconic build for Belfast and for Ulster. It will benefit the promotion and development of Gaelic Games and it will also bring many social and economic benefits to the Andersonstown community, to Belfast as Ireland's second City and to Ulster. We expect benefits to include: - Improved health and safety for GAA spectators and players - Major economic spin offs for local businesses, especially those within the tourism and hospitality industry - Creation of much needed jobs during the construction phase and sports related opportunities when the stadium is up and running - Promotion of Gaelic Games to a wider audience - Opportunities for young Gaels to play and train in spectacular surroundings, promoting healthy living and exercise to a younger generation - Community Facilities will provide much needed provision for the local Andersonstown community and wider GAA community across Ulster - Opportunities for unemployed in training and employment - Possibility of hosting major GAA fixtures and other events in Belfast - Improve access to sport for those with disabilities We welcome government funding and GAA investment to make this project possible and we urge NI Planning Service to make a positive decision on this application.
