Comments: The safety of youngsters going to and from school as well as the eldery are at stake here if MTA removes the agent at the President Street entrance of the station. Removing agents is a ridiculous idea! By doing this you will be INCREASING crime rate in the stations.

Comments: Please keep the station agent. The station is very quiet during off hours and would taking away the agent could invite robbers, etc.

Comments: So many people use this station on a daily basis. To close either entrance would be a major detriment to this neighborhood. I am very much against this change !

Comments: This subway station at the 2nd Street entrance is the closest entrance to four nearby schools that have many children commuting to this location: Brooklyn New School, public pre-K-5; BCS, public 6-12th grades; Hanah Senesh private school and PS 58, pre-K-grade 5. This makes it imperative that the Carroll St. entrance not be closed or else a bottleneck will occur that will make it tough for kids to get to school and commuters to enter the station at Carroll St. at the same time. Thank you for considering this issue carefully. With regards,

Comments: Right now we only have a part time agent at the President St entrance to this station, often there is no one there to open the gate up for the many mothers (and it usually is just mothers) with strollers using this station. The Carrol St. entrance is the only place to enter the subway where you can be assured of help. This is a very busy station, there are a lot of families with young children in this area and not having an agent here is reckless and dangerous. I urge Chairman Dale to come to this station any weekday from 8 - 10 am to see for himself.
