We must remember her.Flag

Name: Dick Bobnick on Dec 22, 2009Comments: Carole was a beautiful underrated actress with an all too shortened life and career. By all accounts she was a great friend and true American patriot who did an enormous of amount of morale building during World War II with her many trips overseas. It has been stated that she rivaled Bob Hope entertaining for U.S.O. shows and benefits as well as the Red Cross. In this day and age of U.S. involvement in warfare in the Middle East and the sparse response of current famous entertainers answering the call to give of their time and support to our troops we must honor those of the past as well as the present who did more than their share for our national cause.Flag

Name: Brian McPartland on Jan 21, 2010Comments: She should also receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from the USO as she was one of the original stars who helped establish the organization from the very early days and one of the few stars who put their actions into words -- her original book "4 Jills In A Jeep", her diaries of those early tours, became the movie of the same name.Flag

Name: Thomas Kenny on Jan 28, 2010Comments: I am archiving photos that my late Father in Law took while stationed in New Guinea during WWII as a soldier in the Army Air Corp. One of his photos has Carole Landis conversing with the troops. This was a great moral boost to soldiers fighting under very unpleasant conditions. She risked her life to bring some happiness to the troops and deserves to be recognized.Flag

Name: Denise Fetterly on Feb 7, 2010Comments: Carole did so much for our troops during World War II. Her tireless efforts to bring a little joy to the troops was often at her own peril yet she pressed on thinking more of them than her own health and safety. For her love of country and personal sacrifices to help others, please honor Carole Landis with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.Flag

Name: Ramponi Monica on Mar 14, 2010Comments: I do believe in this cause, Carole Landis did everything she could, to help the war effort, entertain the boys in such terrible times, be there for them to boost their morale, sharing even illnesses risking her own life, putting her Hollywood career on hold in order to help. She was a wonderful human being, gentle, caring, selfless it is about time she will be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom for her tremendous effort. I would have loved to have met her and be proud to knowing her. Rest in peace Carole, we will never forget you.Flag
