15 AnonymousAnonymousI think that the so called comedy shows that are on the t.v. @ the moment lack one thing, COMEDY, If the T.V. companies want real comedy then they should look no further than FREDDIE STARR, With Freddie you get the whole package, i.e. COMEDY, AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION,& a damn good SINGER. What could be better ? We are paying for Entertainment on the T.V. but all we get is rubbish. I say BRING back FREDDIE.
16 Brianbrianrdavey@googlemail.comI remember Freddie on Des O'Connor back in the 80s and I went to see him in Blackpool and he was great, really funny. When he was on Des's show (which should also be brought back) you didn't know what was going to happen and neither did Des half the time. I would love to see Freddie back on TV and I wish the TV bosses would give him a free reign and stop wetting themselves over what he might do. Have you seen some of the stuff that makes it onto our screens as entertainment these days? I couldn't care less if I look good naked or host a successful dinner party but TV is there not just to educate but to entertain and the great british public is being denied the chance to see one of the best entertainers in the business so I wholeheartedly agree with this petition - Bring Back Freddie Starr, get him to host the Friday Night Project, that would be worth watching!

His demeanour and antics hold no boundaries and nor does his ability to make people roll around laughing at his antics or sit memorised by his fantastic voice. If we pay for a TV license we should have a say on what we want to see, not have a couple of hundred viewers plugged into a system and monitored. WE WANT FREDDIE back where we can see him freely. So the "Magicanam" (Freddie Joke) who can make it happen please take note.
