Kenneth W DandrowMaybe we should allow developers to be on the town board ,instead of the paying there flunkies to do their bidding. The town board does not represent the residents, only the developers. IMPEACH the bunch of them.

Norman Marinosomeone obviously thinks were joking. I would truly like to know who you are. This is not a joke our right to freedom of speech is being taken away here. Who ever is making a mockery of this is clearly not an educated person.

AnonymousI am disgusted by the actionsof the Supervisor and the Councilmen. They do not seem to understand that they are OUR employees. They have intentionally and severely limited the citizens' ability to address the town board en-masse on important issues. Their recent "Town Hall" meeting, during which they refused to answer questions, was also incredibly offensive. Simultaneously, they have allowed the developer Camarda (not a resident) to have all of the television "face time" he wants to push his plans. If the approval of Camarda's recent request to pay legitimate fees in installments without interest is any indication, I am sure that he will continue to get whatever he wants from this board, regardless of the impact on the town residents. If nothing else, the appearance of impropriety is palpable. I am a registered Republican, but I am so offended by their behavior that I will never vote for any of these men again, regardless of the office that they seek.
AnonymousIt's disgusting that public comment has been limited in such a way. Things need to be changed.
HerbertPlease inform me if not being allowed to be heard at any of the Town Meetings is in violation of any town, county, state or federal laws

AnonymousAs law biding, tax paying citizens, we have a constitutional right to attend any town meetings and express our thoughts on issues concerning our town. Please remember, this type of conduct can and will be rectified at election time.

Carol Ann ChachIt is ashame that we the people only have a voice after the fact. Shame on the Town Board Memebers.
Henry W Grantfreedom of speech is our constutional right! No one has a right to hinder our Voice.......
Michael PreziosiWe pay their salaries with our outrageous tax dollars and get nothing back in return. Instead of listening to the constituents that put them in office, they put their heads down at the meetings and do as they please often ignoring comments that are made by the public and brushing off comments, concerns and suggestions that can restore Carmel to a place you could be proud to live in. Just watch the meetings on local access television and you will see the blatant disregard and hostility that Supervisor Schmitt shows to those that voice their concerns.

John C. WeisslederThank you for having the "balls" and the time to take on this group of thugs. All my support is with you and I will attend the meeting tomorrow even though I will be late in coming. I can't wait to see their faces!
Eva Solarik
William AnzickThe town board actively works to support builders with total disregard to any effect it has on the community. The community needs a voice.
Susan DonelanRESTORE FREE SPEECH NOW !! THE 2 OR 3 MINUTE LIMIT - FOR AGENDA ITEMS ONLY IS JUST PLAIN SILLY!! I KNOW THE TOWN SUPERVISOR IS NOT AFRAID TO ADDRESS THE PUBLIC. I BELIEVE THERE IS PRESSURE ON 'OTHER' TOWN BOARD MEMBERS.. LET THE PEOPLE OF CARMEL/MAHOPAC SPEEK !!
