| 106 | Carol Ettlinger | I have seen this kind of action taken by boards in the past in another community I resided in. It took a good bit of effort because members were well entrenched, but they were eventually thrown out and we the citizens were able to speak once again. |

| 112 | Anonymous | In 2007, viewing of taped Carmel Town Board meetings by Comcast subscribers of Carmel and neighboring towns on Channel 8 ceased. Only Carmel subcribers now having access to Channel 95 can watch the meetings even though many of their decisions affect neighboring towns. Now under the guise of maintaining order, speech is limited. I don't even want to contemplate what is next. |

| 117 | Diana Toledo | According to our "current" Putnam County surroundings we are a "progressive" community. Therefore, the rules adopted in January of 2008 are definately a large step backwards. |

| 124 | Kafiat Ali | As a tax payer (VERY HIGH) my say or oponion should be heard prior to the Town Supervisor / Councel Members making any decision concerning Putnam County (CARMEL).It's amazing how the officials that was elected by the people wants to take away the rights of the said people. |

| 131 | Ian Nicholson | One of the most important jobs of the elected town board is to listen to the people and understand what the people want. what they are doing is wrong in so many ways and is the worst insult to this country and all it stands for. millions haved sacrificed there lives for our way of life and if they think they can come along and change our rights because they want to get home to watch tv then they all need to be impeeched then they can have as much home time as they want. |

| 133 | Anonymous | This is unacceptable. However, I don't know if the right to speak in Carmel even matters. Government in this town and county only works for the real estate developers. |

| 136 | Lynne Eckardt | Town Boards should welcome input from all citizens- not stifle it. |
| 137 | susan zucker | Its the tax payers and residents that are paying for this park to be built, it's the tax payers that are paying the salaries of the town council. It really is disappointing that council continues to pull it's sneaky antics. Politics are politics, but with the economy as is, does council realize that families have to work very hard and be especially concious of monies spent??? I care about my voice being heard and considered. My hard earned money contributes to their salaries; as far as I'm concerned, they are working for me or are they??? This needs to change. People, they are working for us and we need to take charge of them, not them taking charge of us!!!! |

| 139 | Erin Franczkiewicz | This is a sad and frightening situation that I hope is one day overturned. |
| 140 | Lillian Eberhardt | There are suppose to be 2 "Colonial Meetings", this year, but that this is not a viable "offering" for the town resident tax payors. This would be more of a "sounding board" occasion.
An elected official should be qualified to address the concerns of the public in a democratic setting, not impose a "police state" in order to satisfy "their"
job committment.
A more friendly policy on procedure for public comments could include, a sign in to speak,"concern" form, relative to the agenda; time allowance (w/option of also submitting a written detailed report; and/or for non-agenda issues (for follow up by the Town Board) (connect with your Councilman) :
and schedule these public comment periods at two of the regular Town Board meetings.
A resident may have an issue that is of immediate concern and may not be timely with the next TB meeeting. The Councilmen should be available to handle their constituent's concern at that time and if needed, to address it at a TB meeting.
THere needs to be more positive interaction by the Town Board and SUpervisor on behalf of the commuinty residents concerns, which should lead to a less "harassing" aggregate. |

Why? Mr. Ken Schmitt. |

COUNCILMEN DIBATTISTA, RAVALLO, O'KEEFE AND DICARLO, SHAME ON YOU ALL. HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF WE REVERSED THE ROLES? MADE YOU PERFORM YOUR JOBS WITHOUT EXPRESSING YOUR OPINIONS. I DON'T THINK BOB RAVALO WOULD EVEN SHOW UP FOR MEETINGS. |
| 145 | Charles Mason | Every resident / home owner in our community has a right to have their voice heard, its our right.
We must remember these situations when these officials come up for re-election! |
| 146 | Arthur Byrwa | Are our local government officials unaware of who they are suppose to represent? The voice of the people will not be silenced. |
