Cody Adrian | As a local resident of Williamsburg, I think a car-free Bedford Avenue is a wonderful idea that makes economic and social sense.

Anonymous | While I applaud your desire to bring some aesthetic value to a strip that is kind of lacking it, I feel that this idea is pretty selfish. Is there no other way to beautify the avenue without inconveniencing throngs of small business owners and neighborhood dwellers??
Sanaya | I love this idea. New Yorkers and Brooklyners need open space.
Fabienne Gerard | It would be such a great public space from which everybody would benefit (shops, social life, environment, etc). GO FOR IT!

| 43 | Jill Jordan | I lived in Boulder, CO for many years and enjoyed a similar "walking mall", as we called it. I have often thought how nicely that concept would work in Williamsburg. It did so much to foster community, providing a mix of social, entertainment, and commercial activities. I am in full support!
