Save The Cardinal Pub
The Cardinal public house, in Francis Street near Archbishops House, has been a popular meeting place for parishioners and groups from Westminster Cathedral for many years.
Its walls were covered in paintings and pictures of past cardinals - including Cardinal Manning and Cardinal Hume.
For some time now the building has been closed for refurbishment. When it re-opens, the owners state that it will be reverting back to its original name: The Windsor Castle.
We feel this would be a great shame, as the name: The Cardinal is an important heritage of this part of London.
