Dear Mr. Tan,

We the fans of Cardiff City thank you for your assistance in clearing our debts and making us a force in Championship football.

Whilst changing the club's colours from blue to red sparked furious debate amongst fans, overall I think it is safe to say the change has been accepted by the majority- not by me and not necesarily by the people signing this petition, but the majority of fans.

We understand the current club badge was done very "last minute" and is likely to change in the future, so we reserve our right to pass judgement on that when possible. We will not, however, tolerate the renaming of our club from 'Cardiff City' to 'Cardiff Dragons'.

The club has never been associated with the Dragon, that is very much an emblem of Wales as a whole - our animal is the Bluebird. We won the FA Cup in 1927 as Cardiff City, and we hope to play in the 2013/14 Premier League season as Cardiff City - not Cardiff Dragons!

We the fans urge you to reconsider this name change before the people of Cardiff turn their back on the club forever - surely having a huge share in Malaysia is nothing with an empty stadium in Leckwith?
