Millions deaf people in australia still waiting for. unfair to hearing comfortable life. Regards Peter WallFlag

Name: Ros Wood on Mar 19, 2004State:Country: AUComments: I live in the foothills of Mt Wellington, Hobart, and the caption signal is so weak that I'm lucky if I can read them. Only half to two-thirds of the letters appear, and a significant proportion of those that do appear are incorrect. For me, captioning is nothing but a constant reminder that I'm excluded from simple things like TV even though I am only partially deaf (and rely heavily on lipreading).Flag

Name: Peter Cunningham on Mar 22, 2004State:Country: AUComments: There is nothing worse, in my opinion, than to be able to read the news in captains & find that the sport & weather is not being captioned (this is often found on channel 7) Question (1) --- Because the news has to be legally captioned, is it legally ok not to caption the sport & weather Is this a hiccup in the legislation Question (2) --- Many free-to-air movies are often advertised as (s), that is, captioned. After being video-recorded it's found that they are not. What can be done about this Regards.Flag
