Community Access Programs allow people who otherwise might not be able to do so, to have access to the internet..
Those of us on boards, blogs, email lists or who use the internet for their jobs, know that the internet is an import tool for reaching out to others, for activism and for social democracy.
We need to work together to keep this important tool available to everyone.
Please support the effort to save the Community Access Programs!
I am currently drafting a formal letter to the city council to outline the essential nature of these internet access points. Several local journalists have requested more information regarding the specific impact of the proposed budget cuts. Expect a summary of their official responses once I receive them.

The internet is a basic utility at this point. Removing access is just setting people up to fail.
