| 56 | Anonymous | The smoking ban has seriously damaged my mental heath and I am now isolated at home as there is no pleasure in going out. |
| 57 | Anonymous | Smokers are now treated as second class citizens with no rights whatsoever. We contribute enormously through extortionate taxes yet are considered to be lepers in society. It is about time we fought back instead of rolling over and accepting everything that this controlling Government throws at us. This law has also been the death knell for pubs up and down the country. |
| 58 | sam colyer | the ban is disgusting and a violation of our free rights. To see our council fritting money away on pointless projects (such as building a new town hall on already newly developed land) makes me sick. I dont go to the pub anymore not out of spite to the pub but to hurt the governments taxs etc. If they really want to get more money and keep everyone healthier they should take a pay cut and bike everywhere! i cannot explain my disgust highly enough. |
| 59 | James Burkes | Please, freedom for tax-paying responsible adults to choose what they can do, and for publicans to choose what they allow to happen on THEIR premises with the consent of their customers. Until then, I will not vote for any anti-smoking MP. Ignore one third of the electorate at your peril! |

| 61 | maxine slater | maybe now they will listen. Or will it be just more broken promises? |

| 63 | shirley bradley | Think the posters are great how can we get hold of them, car stickers and badges would also be useful.
what about hospital in patients stood on main roads in dressing gowns hooked up to drips in all weathers because that is the only place they can smoke. |
| 64 | tony gleed | give us a break. have smoking pubs and no smoking pubs, give us a choice |
| 65 | sandra | i hate what this goverment are doing and where is choice of smoking and non smoking pubs ,smokers havnt got a choice there are no smoking pubs not even one!! will they allow out of all the pubs we arnt allowed any of them call that democracy |

| 75 | ben davies | too right guys. i have no problems with non-smokers rights, but i aint diggin feeling like an outlaw for enjoyin a shmoke. smoke on my son....... |
| 76 | Diane Monks | I HATE the smoking ban.
I and all my family (smokers and non smokers) will not vote for a party that puts in place a draconian and unfair law such as the smoking ban. |

| 79 | Antony Hensock | I implore politicians to see sense on this, we should be helping these businesses to survive, not destroying them forever just because some people do not like the smell of smoke, which, lets face it is really what this is all about. |
| 80 | peter shaw | boycott pubs till this silly ban is repealed |
| 81 | mark adams | the smoking ban is wrong plain and simple, the tax lost through the ban is pushing up taxes for everyone, pubs are empty and stink of urine and sweat these days and make you want to vommit, you go outside and you catch cold leading to days off, the cost of beer is going up all the time and its now cheaper to have a weekend in spain on the drink then go out to the local. |
| 82 | ray greenwood | 54 years old and a reasonably content life working and paying taxes. Lawbiding and decent. Not anymore. I now view our politicians as despicable facists. A terrible thing to say but I mean it. This government HAS to go at all costs. I can now understand why men are prepared to take up arms to defend freedom. |

| 84 | John Earle | As the government receives £billions per year from smokers, we are not being represented, is it legal therefore for the government to take money from those it doesn't want to represent? |
| 85 | Anonymous | The problem with government is they think they know best. They don't !
How dare they tell someone who they can and cannot have in their own buildings. As a Labour supporter for the past 30 years I am disgusted by their micromanagement attitude. They have gone to far this time. |
| 86 | Adel K. | DOWN WITH THE SMOKING BAN!
DOWN WITH ANTI-FREEDOM LAWS IN BRITAIN AND IN EUROPE. WHAT'S THE USE OF TRYING TO TEACH DEMOCRACY TO THE THIRLD WORLD COUNTRIES WHEN OUR POLITICIANS REDUCE OUR EVERYDAY LIBERTIES... WHAT'S THE NEXT STEP: PREVENT US FROM DRINKING? |

| 88 | james | Labour dont care and wont listen to us any way.
600000 people have stopped going to bingo since the bans introduction. The ban makes life that uncomfortable if its cold or raining going out for the evening is almost out of the question, its more like a ban on socialising. New Labour and its antis, have made it clear, that its okay to treat smokers like lepers. |
| 89 | Antony Henstock | The smoking ban has lead to people being placed in ridiculous situations when trying to socialize. I refuse to go out now and be treated like an animal. Labour has really let me down this time, sadly they have lost a 25 year staunch labour supporter and donator. |
| 90 | Paul Mason | I went to polling station last Thurs and did not vote. I feel very strongly about the fact that smokers have no choice, we have been made social lepers by a nanny state. Paul |
| 91 | sarn | will never vote labour or any gov that takes away fairness and choice |
| 92 | James Burkes | This is the ONLY reason I am not voting Labour despite being a lifelong voter. The smoking ban is undemocratic, divisive and economically damaging. I shall vote Conservative until it is amended. |
| 93 | Anonymous | Can't smoke, won't vote. I'm not old enough to do either but when I come of age I won't vote til they get rid of this bloody stupid ban. |
| 94 | Sally | bring back smoking in pubs - save the british pub |
| 95 | Anonymous | |
| 96 | David Anderson | I will not vote for Labour again, they had it in their manifesto before last general election that smoking would be banned in areas and premises where food was consumed. Yet again these pompous fools put the law abiding citizensof this country to the test to see how far they can go without revolt. Well I hope they now realise after local elections the impact this ban has had on the smoking population in this county. You can only push us so far. Dave |
| 97 | Guy Cornwell | Well I won't vote for this shower anyway.
When all the Labour fat cats are on the dole where they belong, they can sympathise with all the publicans they put there - unforunately, most of them won't be able to do it over a pint, asthe local pub will be closed! |
| 98 | j ainsworth | |
| 99 | sarah rowe | I think it is absolutely disgusting that our human rights are being taken away from us, I certainly will not be voting since my opinion obviously isn't my own anyway. I actually now despise being british, everything that made us british has now been or soon will be taken away. When the ban came in my whole family and friends decided to boycott pubs for good, shame, because now we have no social life. Nice one government, hope you are pleased with your slave control tactics. Britain is going down. |
| 100 | Barry | they get the smokers tax but treat us like this it is wrong, Barry. |
