Name: Craig Thompson on Jun 24, 2007Comments: i think it is disgusting it was my mums anniversary on tues 12 this month and wasnt allowed to leave any thing but flowers. left a small trinket and it was taken away. also we had stolen a angel which was taken and put in there stores. i think we should be allowed to leave small personal items on special occasions ie birthday, anniversary. its not much to ask after losing love ones!!!!!!!!!.Flag

Name: Tracey Stoner on Jul 6, 2007Comments: I lost my dear nan at christmas , we have a memorial plaque which we all made it look lovely with two small vases for flowers . We could not believe it when it was taken, who goes to visit there loved ones and not take flowers this is outrageous behavior from the council I think it would be better to pay someone to cut the grass it looks very untidy there. we took flowers to my nan for her birthday which was last week and of course a birthday card and a new vase but again they have employed people to come and take them away, we left ther very upset, it was such a lovely place to go.Flag

Name: Tara Hamilton on Jul 9, 2007Comments: I think its very wrong how the council can do this. Its only a few flowers or toys usually. They should look at the reason why its there. What if that was one of there family Im sure they would want to leave flowers etc too.Flag

Name: Mary O'Reilly on Jul 9, 2007Comments: I lost my husband when I was 31, 16 years ago. If I hadn't been able to leave mementoes on his grave, I would have not had way of connecting with my grief and been able to mourn properly. My mementoes were flowers and the odd plant that he liked, and I think it is part of the grieving process to be able to do this. It makes me really angry when the nanny council interferes with peoples' grieving in this intrusive way.Flag
