103 CynthiaCostellCA94306Retired teacherI have visited Cuba and admire these hardworking, generous people. We have a lot to learn from them about taking care of ourselves and our planet. I look forward to the day when we once again have friendly and respectful relations with this neighbor.

111 LartaLarramendiCA91016Former Mayor, City of Monrovia, CAI have many family members, including elderly uncles, that live in Cuba, yet according to the 2004 policy, I can't travel to Cuba to visit them because they don't fit the definition of "family" as per the Bush administration. Family values? What a joke!

119 ElenaFreyreFL33133Cuban American Defense League, Foundation for Normalization of US/Cuba RelationsThe Time has come for the US and Cuba to sit down and talk with mutual respect to normalize relations. In fact the Time is Now!
120 TRACYFERGUSONTX77042Travel AgentAnyone can see that the endless embargo on travel to Cuba has done nothing to improve the Cubans' way of life and welfare. I feel that interaction and exchange of ideas with ordinary U.S. citizens could do more in improving Cuba's standard of living than any sort of government programs or intervention. PLEASE allow us to travel to Cuba freely again. I'm 76 years old and would love to see that lovely island before I die.
121 Romaluedepaul34239I would love to be able to travel to Cuba and I don't understand why I can't. This country will allow people to travel to any country we want, but not Cuba. I thought this was a free country and that we could go whereever we want.

132 PaulaSwiggumMN55122Associate ProfessorI was fortunate to visit Cuba in 2004 before current crackdown in 2004. It is long past the time when we should re-establish relations with the Cuban people. We interact with every other "Communist" or repressive regime in the world. The Cuban people are the victims not the Castros. PLEASE make this a priority.

134 DouglasRosenbergWA98112Retired lawyerThe current policy has not worked, and has only brought hardship to the Cuban people. Engagement is much more likely to bring about change.

138 KarenReynoldsPA19073GWBush's anti-family policy towards Cuba has had a horrible effect on our family = my 86 year old mother-in-law heads toward dementia and has not been able to visit her siblings in Cuba because of the outrageous 'every 3 years' travel law, and the outrageous limit on people who are allowed to travel - she would now need help to travel and we are not allowed to accompany her . Shame on the cavalier politicians.
