Anonymous | Anonymous | | 07006 | | Marketing Manager | I do not think it is fair for a country to tell it's citizens where it can and can't go. It's like having a dictatorship. An adult should be able to determine if they want to go to a place. People can go to lots of countries a lot worse than Cuba. It's a small and beautiful country. We should not be limited. It's like having our civil rights taken away from us. (freedom of speech, freedom of travel). It also takes away from our economy, as American tourists just wind up purchasing their trips through 3rd party countries (e.g. Jamaica, Canada, Mexico, etc.) Please lif this ridiculous ban on travel. The candidate that does, has my vote.

Jude | Draper-cocuzzo | NH | 03103 | | Regional Sales Manager/Travel | Canadians are enjoying the ability to vacation in Cuba. The U.S. citizens should be free to travel where they wish without government restrictions.

Stan | McGahey | FL | 33543 | | tourism professor | It is ridiculous and counterproductive to ban Americans from traveling to Cuba. It is also an afront to human rights and dispersed families. To hell with special interest groups. How about doing what is right for a change!

Kathleen | McCloskey | TX | | | Retired Medical Librarian | My husband and I went to Cuba on an educational program in 2003. If you want to see the downfall of socialism in Cuba open the doors to Americans. The Cubans are so ready for democracy that the flood of American tourists would effect change.

Lourdes | Torres | NY | 10464 | | Educator | We are challenged today to do something good for the Cuban people. They have been victimized enough. They too seek peace and justice as we do. Let us rise to the occassion and move forward to building lasting relationships with the people of Cuba.

Aida M | Mercadal | FL | 33012 | US | Massage Therapist | The Constitutional right to travel is denied to Americans only in the case of Cuba. Many Cubans object to being required to obtain exit permits to leave their country. Cuba provides entry visas to virtually all Americans. The US almost never grants visitor visas to Cubans but encourages trafficking of illegal immigrants through the Cuban Adjustment Act and a wet foot / dry foot policy.
John | Pegg | MN | 55802 | US | retired clergy | I have travelled to Cuba twice with Witness for Peace under their license from OFAC and have found the US embargo to be ineffective politically and inhumane in its effects on the Cuban people. The US embargo is a failed and unjust policy that must be ended.
