September has been named Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. Here are a few stats to help raise awareness. 1 in every 330 children will develop cancer before age 19. 1 in every 5 diagnosed WILL die! The Federal budget for the National Cancer Institute is $4.6 billion, yet all 12 major groups of pediatric cancers combined receive less than 3% of all funds! Since there are stores who target children as their major customer base, I believe they are integral in raising awareness and funds to help support pediatric cancer research and better patient care & services. Please sign this petition asking Toys R Us, Babies R Us, Gymboree and Children's Place to donate 10% of every sale to pediatric cancer research and patient programs. Let your voice be heard... If they can profit off of our children, they can help us keep them alive!!!
