We, the undersigned, ask that provincial and federal governments grant regulatory approval to Product Partners LLP and Beachbody to open the Team Beachbody Coaching Business Opportunity in Canada. Recent estimates from Statistics Canada state that 61% of adult Canadians are overweight or obese. This number not only speaks to the risks faced by individual Canadians of disease and premature death, but also to the large and growing burden borne by the Canadian health care system. In the face of record budget deficits, governments must seek all available means to fight the obesity epidemic, with special attention paid to methods that do not require the expenditure of public funds.

This is where Beachbody comes in. Beachbody offers many different fitness programs, all available for use at home. From beginner programs to highly-advanced cardio and resistance workouts, Beachbody provides customers with the tools they need to improve their health and their lives. Each program also includes nutrition plans geared towards weight loss, athletic performance, or a combination of both.

At present, Beachbody programs like P90X and TurboJam are available at various retail outlets across Canada. The Beachbody Business Coaching Opportunity allows users of the programs to become independent company representatives and work directly with others who are also looking to take charge of their fitness. Through the medium of coaching, people can receive the support and motivation crucial to long-term success and long-term health. The Coaching Opportunity also allows participants to build a business that can be run from home and is largely recession-proof.  Unfortunately, Canadians are not legally permitted to engage in coaching for the company. 

There are already thousands of people in the United States who work as Beachbody coaches. Beachbody itself is a company that takes pride in the quality of its products and its service to customers. We believe that allowing the extension of the Coaching Business Opportunity into Canada will increase the number of people who will become aware of, and will ultimately use, the programs to take charge of their health and make positive changes in their lives. We ask the governments of Canada and each province to approve the establishment of the Beachbody Coaching Business Opportunity as soon as possible.
