Name: Srian Fernando on Sep 6, 2007Comments: It's pretty self defeating to have increased prices of books, since honestly more and more people are disregarding books in favor of other media - exaggerating the Canadian market price isn't exactly going to bring more people to buy books.Flag

Name: Josh Birkhead-Kirk on Oct 4, 2007Comments: The fact that the Canadian and American dollars are at parity makes this situation unconsciable! I am aware that the cost of doing business differs between nations but the staggering price discrepencies being foisted upon the canadian public by publishing companies is ludicrous! There is no financialy viable excuse for charging consumers 30% more for a product because it cost 4% more to produce that product in this country. This is an obvious and shameful cash grab that relies on a precedent of higher priced literature in Canada, and the Canadian consumer will not stand for it any longer!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jun 10, 2008Comments: Since our dollar is only .05 difference--why should we be paying $2.00 difference on our books. We want our kids to read--they think of nothing to buy a video game, but a book is too expensive. Magazines should be included as well.Flag
