On June 25 2007 a 17 year old Winnipeg teenager was sentenced to two years of supervised probation as opposed to jail time for killing the family cat while high on drugs. Stuffing the cat in a bag and leaving him in the bath tub with notes around the house saying \"look what\'s in the tub for you\". One of the most horrific and brutal cases of animal cruelty in Canada involved a cat by the name of Kensington. The perpetrators received lenient sentences (90 days for Jesse Power, and time served waiting for trial for Anthony Wennekers and Matt Kaczorowski) The judge for Power and Wennekers showed disrespect to Kensington
