ENGLISH:

"I,  as a legally recognized citizen of Canada,  am personally and civically offended that our national anthem continues to reflect a gender bias in the recognition of patriotism.

Our women's stellar performance in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics by bringing home 14 of 25 of Canadian medals,  should not have been undermined by the playing of a national anthem that denies them the recognition of patriotism they deserve. I petition that this national embarassment be corrected in honour of all Canadian women, but especially in recognition of how our women have returned national pride to all Canadians in international Olympic sport.

I support the line change from 'True patriot love in all thy sons command' to 'True patriot love thou dost in us command' as per Judge Robert Stanley Weir's original 1908 poem."

FRANCAIS:
