(or even unasked!) by those officials in charge, and so many abnormalities and strange coincidences allowed to go unexplained, that I and millions more around the globe now consider it absolutely laughable to accept the official story of what happened on 9/11 at face value. In spite of this completely unacceptable situation, people attempting to rectify it by shedding some light on what happened find that information of all sorts, often of the most basic nature, is witheld for reasons of "national security", "privacy", "ongoing litigation",etc., so that no satisfactory anwers or explanations can be arrived at. In the same way, many of the people involved are under "gag orders" and not allowed to share what they know. The US government appeared to have no interest in vigorously investigating this enormous crime (in fact, it had to be shamed into it by the victims families), and this witholding of information only strengthens suspicions worldwide that they are more interested in hiding the facts than in uncovering them. The 9/11 Commissioners themselves have stated that they believe that they were "set up to fail" by the Bush administration. If the US Government refuses to conduct a proper investigation of what happened on that day, then our government should, perhaps in cooperation with the governments of other countries who lost citizens during the attacks. Those attacks were used as a pretense for in turn attacking and killings hundreds of thousands of people who had nothing whatsoever to do with them. Before one more Canadian, American, Afghani or Iraqi dies in this "War on Terror", which could just as well be termed a "war of terror", we should be given a full explanation of all the facts surrounding the event which triggered it. |
