Canada - Stop Paying for the Private Banks!
Please sign and share this petition. It is a bonafide parliamentary petition, sponsored by Elizabeth May.
Back in ’73, Canada borrowed from the Bank of Canada at ultra-low interest rates, and had a debt of around $16 billion. The next year, Trudeau returned from Bilderberg, and changed borrowing practices, and Canada has borrowed from the private chartered banks ever since. The national debt has skyrocketed, and now stands at over $630 billion.
Canada spends almost $60 billion on interest, servicing the debt. Imagine if we returned to borrowing from the Bank of Canada, at just enough interest to pay for the Bank’s activities.
This would mean we would have $60 billion EVERY YEAR to spend on health, education, services, infrastructure, AND THE ARTS.
