Seven Day Service fo Campbeltown Airport

Please sign the peititon for a seven day service of flights to and from Campbeltown Airport.

David Stewart MSP (Labour) for the Highlands and Islands is lobbying the Scottish Governments Transport Minister, Keith Brown MSP to consider a seven day programme of flights to the penisula.

The current contract for provision of air services from Campbeltown to Glasgow expires on 31st March 2013. Officals at Transport Scotland are currenly considering  the specification for the next contract period. This inculdes consideration of the inclusion of weekend services within the specification.

David Stewart MSP has recived a letter from the Transport Minister stating that " the views of the local community will have a significant influence in the drawing up of the final specification".

Therefore its important that the community makes strong representations to Transport Scotland, showing the demand for a seven day service.

The benefits for the local community, tourism and business that would be available with the introduction of a seven day service is clear.

Please sign the peition now to show your support for a seven day service.
