We, the undersigned, whilst being fully supportive of the new series of Doctor Who starring Matt Smith, are not happy with the radical and seemingly pointless new design for the Daleks.
We would like a return to a model that is more fitting for the evil would-be conquerors of the universe and not one that looks like a Power Ranger or a new model Mini Cooper.

I have spent the morning looking at the replies to this petition and it is clear I am not the only one who finds these new designs impossible to take seriously as a threat. We grew up fearing these icons and there is no reason they should look like colorful toys instead of the ruthless conquerors they are supposed to be.

Seeing this much support for the cause proves that I am not the only one who misses the classic terror of the Daleks. We have gained so much momentum and it is clear that fans deserve a design that looks like a true threat instead of a colorful toy.

BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL DESIGN!! The new ones are embarrassing.
I miss the bronze ones. Why change something that wasn't broken? They look so plastic now :/
They look like cheap toys now. Really ruins the suspension of disbelief when they look like they were painted by Fisher Price. Total downgrade.
Honestly thought it was a joke at first. Please fix this BBC they look ridiculous.
The new ones look like gumballs. Awful design choice. Bring back the gritty look from the old episodes.
