Everyone knows that a cervical smear is available from 25 years old but cancer doesn't choose an age so why should we take that risk? I want to campaign the government to try get the age reduced from 25 to 20, the earlier detection the more chance of saving lives. Currently CervicalCheck - The National Cervical Screening Programme provides free smear tests to women aged 25 to 60. A smear test is a simple procedure that only takes minutes and is the most effective way to detect changes in the cells of the cervix. By reducing this age to 20 that is cutting off 5 years, imagine how many lives could be saved. Please sign my petition to try help save lives. This petition will be forwarded on to Minister for Health Dr James Reilly in the hope that he will consider reducing the minimum age for smear tests. Thank you
