We, members of the Camp Wightman Community, petition Tom Hall, Camp Director, and the members of the Camp & Conference Committee to continue using the Camp Wightman Logo as the symbol of CW. We would like to see it displayed on clothing & accessories sold at the Wagon Wheel, the camp photos and the yearly summer camping program brochure. This logo has been used for over 30 years, created by a young pastor involved in the ministries of Camp Wightman. He intentionally used symbols that connect us to God through camp. The cross reminds us of our Christian ties, the waves and tree are representative of our being in God’s creation as we spend time at camp and the circle is a symbol of unity. When people see this logo they connect it to the ministry of Camp Wightman. We respectfully request that Tom Hall & the Camp & Conference Committee see fit to use this logo in the years ahead on clothing & accessory items that are sold at the store, camp photos and marketing materials.
