We, the undersigned, call on Michael Gove, Secretary of State for Education, to reverse his decision to stop the rebuilding and refurbishment of eleven of Camden's secondary and special schools.
The affected schools are: Acland Burghley, Agincourt House PRU, Camden School for Girls, Chalcot, Hampstead, Haverstock, La Sainte Union, Maria Fidelis, One One Five PRU, Parliament Hill, and William Ellis.

Elisabeth Waterhouse, United Kingdom4 years ago Comments: Education is at the core of a Nation - there are more children needing good facilities than ever but the actual building/refurbishment work must be properly accounted for - no slacking, which is what I notice on building sites.
Fiona McWilliam, United Kingdom4 years ago Comments: I have worked for a year on a BSF project in my own time. We produced a really good plan after a great deal of discussion and consultation for a school which would truly have made a difference to the teaching and learning for the students who have to currently work in very poor conditions. I think it is outrageous that the government simply chooses to ignore all the work done on their behalf - either free of chargeor at the expense of the schools themselves - and just nastily makes a sweeping announcement via the media about the programme being cut., without any acknowledgement of the work undertaken so far by a huge number of people.
