We the undersigned petition the Welsh Rugby Union to rename the so-called Prince William Cup, the RAY GRAVELL CUP, a far more appropriate title, honouring a great Welsh hero and patriot who lived a life for Wales and Welshness, and who personified a glorious era of Wales\'s national game.
Yr ydym ni sydd wedi taro ein henwau isod yn galw ar Undeb Rygbi Cymru, i newid enw yr hyn elwir gan rai Cwpan Tywsog William i GWPAN RAY GRAVELL. Enw llawer mwy addas ar gyfer cwpan sy\'n gysylltiedig a gem gendlaethol Cymru. Fydd hyn yn arwydd o barch i gawr o Gymro a gwladgarwr wnaeth gymaint dros Gymru a Chymreictod.
A description of the cup, on the WRU website reads as follows:
The hammered edges spiralling around the trophy represent the landscape and mountains of Wales, while inscribed on it are some words of one of Nelson Mandela\'s most stirring quotes: The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.
Need we say more Er serchus cof - Ray Gravell. Cymru am byth!
