The Welsh Rugby Union has agreed to rename the cup in honor of Ray Gravell. I am honestly in shock that our request was heard and honored so completely. This is entirely due to the thousands of you who felt Ray deserved this recognition.
We the undersigned petition the Welsh Rugby Union to rename the so-called Prince William Cup, the RAY GRAVELL CUP, a far more appropriate title, honouring a great Welsh hero and patriot who lived a life for Wales and Welshness, and who personified a glorious era of Wales\'s national game.
Yr ydym ni sydd wedi taro ein henwau isod yn galw ar Undeb Rygbi Cymru, i newid enw yr hyn elwir gan rai Cwpan Tywsog William
I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have joined this cause. It would be incredible to see us reach five thousand signatures before we present this to the union. You all have built this momentum and I am just amazed at your dedication to Ray.

This is about the Welsh & South Africans, not some English heir to the throne, who now allegedly with his wife supports Wales. They don't, H&W sucking up to Jonny W. The Welsh have long memories.

Totally agree. Why are we naming cups after Royals who have nothing to do with our rugby history? Give the man his due.

Ray was a true legend of the game. He actually played for the jersey instead of just showing up for the cameras. About time we honored him properly.
