    Comments: The presence of the recording studio at Caltech, and its availability to students and postdocs is one of the (many) features that makes Caltech distinctive. As an incoming grad student the fact that there was a studio screamed "Caltech cares" to me. To the fraction of students and postdocs who are musicians (i.e. a considerable fraction), the studio is a unique means to mental enrichment. It would be an absolute shame if the studio disappeared. If anything, it should be upgraded.

    Comments: As a Caltech alum, I can say that some of my very best moments were at the Caltech Recording Studio with fellow Caltech musicians. And as an international student, the music program at Caltech opened the door to interacting with fabulous people through the music, making friends for life. Please keep the recording studio alive!
