Thank you for standing together with the local body of Christ to be the preserving force in this world. Jesus told us that we were the salt and the light, and that we should not lose our flavor. In my opinion there is nothing that is impacting the body of Christ, and America at large more than sexual sin. Never before has this been. Sin is creeping into the body of Christ at an alarming rate; most of which, at least the most damaging, is sexual sin. WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING! A few weeks ago I was driving to the Bay Area with my family. As we were driving down Hwy. 49 a large billboard came into view. On this billboard there is a woman wearing a bikini, lying on the ground in a very "sexy" pose. I was shocked. My son is being sold sex while he sits innocently in his car seat! My wife is sitting next to me feeling inferior and who knows how many brothers are in sin. This company "California Sun" obviously does not have a problem exploiting women to make I buck. Well I do! And so does Jesus... "Whoever causes one of these little ones to sin it would be better for him to have a millstone around his neck and he be cast into the sea." Billboards like this are a gateway to sexual sin. If the church does not arise and stand against this stuff, then who will??? We are the salt. Please sign this petition and send it to as many people as you know that live in the Auburn/Grass Valley area. We will be submitting this to California Sun as a way of saying: "We will not sit by and let you sell our families, and ourselves sex! We, the church, are not buying it; nor will we support a business that exploits women as a way to make a buck" Also, the petition will be sent to CBS who owns the billboard as a way of saying: "Your billboard content is going to hurt your business. Please do not allow these types of adds in our town. Thank You!" We will be making a huge effort to submit this petition to the mentioned companies in LOVE. We are not looking to fight a cause, rather further HIS cause--leaving the world with a strong sense of what it means to LOVE God and LOVE people.
