The petition
Bearing in mind the woeful performance of England's cricket team in the 2006-7 Ashes series and the need for a radical shake up in our approach to team selection the following points are noted:
1) Shane Warne was still excellent when he retired from international cricket at the age of 37.
2) Paul Nixon has debuted for England at the age of 37.
3) Wes is only 28
4) Wes has successfully bowled googlys, leg breaks and lots and lots of flippers (the one that goes straight on) in his office.
Therefore, we the undersigned, demand that the ECB selectors call up Wes to the England squad as he is about as likely to be the future of English cricket as anyone else.
