Hon. Kristie A. Kenney
US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
of the United States of America to the
Republic of the Philippines
1201 Roxas Boulevard, Ermita
1000 Manila, Philippines
Dear Ambassador Kenney:
Greetings of peace and justice!
Aware of your concern about the plight of women and children, we urge you and your government to take action for the three (3) acquitted US Marine personnel particularly Lance Corporals Keith Silkwood, Dominic Duplantis, and Staff Sergeant Chad Carpentier to be discharged from service for the grave misconduct they have committed.
As we all know, the three above named persons were acquitted in the Subic Rape Case only because of the failure of the driver of the van, Timoteo Soriano, Jr., to testify in court. Not one of the three above named officers stopped or attempted to stop the commission of rape by Lance Corporal Daniel Smith.
As a matter of fact the three were reported to be cheering and uttering words that apparently encouraged the young Daniel Smith to go on with the dastardly act of raping a Filipino woman.
It is our hope and prayer that you can take action in this regard not only as a high ranking official of the United States of America but also as an advocate of women’s rights as human rights.
Thank you and warmest regards.
God Bless you!
Very truly yours,
