This has been going for so long. The Philippines has always been known as a country with corrupt individuals. Unfortunately, the sports sector is not exempted - it has been riddled by dirty politics in the past few years. Due to the incompetence of these officials who have no idea what the ESSENCE of SPORTS really is, Filipino athletes are getting the short end of the stick. Some athletes, even those that are financed by the private sector, have been deprived of international exposure, contradicting the International Olympic Committee's qualifications for sending athletes online. For decades, there have been NO IMPROVEMENT with the facilities and because of this, the talents of our athletes have stagnated.
