    Comments: As an Adult Protective Services supervisor in California, I urge you to pass the Elder Justice Act. APS in California is overwhelmed by cases of financial elder abuse. Elder financial abuse costs everyone, the elder, the community and Medi-Cal.

    Comments: I am a professional working in this field and have seen many perpetrators illegally obtain financial gain through deception and intimidation of an elderly victim without receiving any prosecution. This is one of the easiest crimes to get away with. Even if caught, penalties are often minimal.
