The council confirmed today that they will install the crossing on Nabbs Lane to protect our neighborhood families. I am deeply grateful to the 626 people who lent their support to keep our local children safe during their trips to the park. We have secured a safer path for everyone …

In the evening of Tuesday 20th October 2015 a young 11 year old boy was involved in a serious accident.

This petition is to present our need for at least 1 zebra crossing on Nabbs Lane for us, our children & the most vulnerable amongst us; to cross the road safely. Especially as there is a children's park on Nabbs Lane, where it is believed the boy was leaving from. This is the most serious case to my knowledge but there have certainly been other children ran over on this road.

TOGETHER WE HAVE A VOICE.

LET'S ACHIEVE A SAFE CROSSING.

The stories shared by neighbors about their own experiences on Nabbs Lane underscore how urgent this safety issue has become. These accounts provide a clear picture of the ongoing risk that families face while simply trying to reach the park. I am currently organizing these concerns to prepare for a formal discussion with local officials.

Seeing the count approach one hundred signatures reflects a clear consensus regarding the safety of our neighborhood streets. Reaching this next milestone serves as a vital marker of our shared commitment before the proposal is formally reviewed. If you can help bring this effort to the attention of one new neighbor we will be in a much stronger position for our upcoming presentation.

October 20, 2015

The momentum building behind this request is a clear signal that our neighborhood prioritizes the safety of those visiting the park. We are edging toward five hundred signatures and reaching this threshold will ensure that local officials cannot ignore the urgency of our plea. Please take a moment to forward this request to a neighbor so that we can solidify our collective position before the upcoming review.

There's been so many children ran over on nabs lane over the years , now they have introduced a bigger park and mountain bike track we need safe crossings for children to access these facilities safely

All our children cross here regular, safety is needed. Some cars speed way to fast up here and let's face it, it doesn't matter how much you drill into them how to cross a road.. kids will be kids. A crossing will save lives.

My stepson got knocked over on this road last year and broke his tib and fib clean through, fortunately the driver was observing the speed limit if not I dread to think what would have happened.

My boy was hit on this road last January. He suffered a very bad fracture to his leg and had rehabilitation lasting months. 9 months after the accident he could walk again without having pins in his leg. Please do something before the next child who wont be as lucky as my boy. X

This lane needs safe crossing points installed. With ashops, school and a park along its route it is just a matter of time before a death. It is also a cut through for impatient drivers not using the ring road.

cosidering there is a park one side of the road and a chip shop and sweet shop the other side I think it's ridiculous that there is no crossing. Traffic is coming from 3 ways when u are trying to cross at the bottom of nabbs lane and it's very dangerous
