Name: Anthea Black on Oct 30, 2008Comments: I have recently read that the biggest way an individual citizen can make a positive environmental impact in Canada is to grow and raise more of their own food. Allowing chickens and promoting education on good practices for raising them just makes sense, especially for those of us who are already active gardeners, recyclers and composters.Flag

Name: Amy Rochon on Nov 10, 2008Comments: I grew up with chickens in BC. I loved my hens, who were my pets when I was younger. I grew up learning how to take care of animals, learned about the beginnings and ends of lives, and where the food I enjoy comes from. Now I miss my chickens terribly, and I hope that everyone can experience the same joys and tears that comes with them (as well as their yummy eggs!)Flag
