I'm sure you have all now heard that the Cafe at West Midlands House is due for closure. I wanted to open this petition to gauge people's thoughts on the cafe and the service it offers. Our organisation regularly uses the cafe facilities for coffee and food, and has on many occasions used it for supplier and internal meetings. The closure of the cafe means travelling into the town for coffee (and to my knowledge there is no service similar to Cafe Roma available there), no availability of a cheap meeting location and loss of a valuable facility that did contribute towards our organisations selection of West Midlands House as suitable accommodation for our team. With no kitchen facilities available within the building this means a kettle in the office, not ideal! Do you have any thoughts, would you like this facility to stay, will this affect your decision to remain at this location?

BERNARD JONES, United Kingdom4 years ago Comments: I go to the cafe most days , its a great meeting place to get to know other people in the offices . I work on my own and its nice just to get out of the office for 10mins and see another human being ! My family also love the place and are often popping in to visit me , they like me and a lot of office staff will be very sad to see it close and hope the owners have second thoughts about it . It will be very sad to see Pat and Sal leave they have worked very hard in the past to encourage new customers to use it . PLEASE SAVE OUR CAFE !!!!! ( A VERY DISAPPOINTED TENANT )
Sarah Moore, United Kingdom4 years ago Comments: Having a cafe on site is an essential facility to our business. If West Midlands House / Your Space have decided that they are unable to make it a profit making business and need to outsource to a franchisee this is fair enough, it would be unrealistic to expect that they will carry it on even in light of the obvious supprt from the tennants. BUT I think they should at least keep it in service until a suitable new tenant has been found. This process is surely going to take months not weeks and to not have the services of an on-site cafe will have a significant detrimental effect.
