Name: Anonymous on Dec 28, 2009Comments: I would have switched from Smart Telecom within the first few months of moving in but unfortunately, with no other providor able to replace Smart due to the infrastructure in our complex; my options are limited to: a.) Cancel my subscription, and live in a modern apartment with no TV or broadband. Great, huh? b.) Continue to pay for a service, which from 2006-2008 was absolutely appalling, in terms of the TV coverage/picture. This improved in 2009 but just recently, some of the old problems have returned,Name of your Development: Park West PointeFlag

We at times would be far better off watching T.V with subtitles on! Although we are far from hard of hearing..........Name of your Development: Ongar!Flag

Name: Davor Komljenovic on Oct 14, 2010Comments: I moved to Ireland from USA. The federal government passed a law forbiding monopolies by cable companies in old or new apartments. Name: Paul Lowry on Nov 23, 2010Comments: I want the option to choose a broadband provider, but have not had this since buying my home 5 years ago. I consider this an infringement of my rights as a consumer and a home-owner, and I am disgusted to hear that the practice is perfectly legitimate and legal. Please fix this immediately!Name of your Development: RathborneFlag

Name: Ellen Horn on Dec 31, 2010Comments: I was not told that I would be locked into Knology here at JML. Knology gives us poor service as they know we HAVE to use them. Their prices are high. I cannot even chose my own internet provider. Is this the US of Russia? I wonder. This is not fair and I did not know this until after I moved in. Knology charges us tenants here badly and unfairly. I want to use my own provider. Until then, I will use dial up and rabbit ears. I refuse to cave in.Name of your Development: Johnston Mill LoftsFlag

Name: C. Rochfort on Apr 6, 2011Comments: I've lived in RCP for 4 years and I now refuse to use cablewatch. The channel choice is awful, reception is poor, problems obundant. An awful service and extremely overpriced. No option to pause, record or rewind and most of the free channels included with sky aren't availble on cablewatch. We, the residents, need someone with authority to take control of the situation and either push forward the installation of communal Sky dishes for the roofs or allow us to choose our own providers and let us put dishes on our balconies!Name of your Development: Royal Canal Park, Ashtown.Flag

Name: Hannah Casimir on Jul 18, 2011Comments: This practice should be outlawed as it flies in the face of freedom of choice for consumers. The customer service is terrible and the packages represent poor value for money. Also, I am unable to get free to air channels without an engineer coming to my home and subsequently paying 5 euro a month to Sky Conway (or Conway Television, whatever they are called now). I have paid for my TV licence so surely this practice is illegal? I should be able to plug in an aerial cable and get at least basic channels with no hassle or extra cost to me but it seems impossible.Name of your Development: Buttergate, Donore Road, Drogheda, Co.
