The choice of channels is extremely limited and various channels just disappear randomly for long periods or just permanenetly. Also, all channels had to be re-tuned to start at Channel 21 (rather than 1) which is extremely inconvenient. Apparently, when NTL were approached to provide an alternative service after multiple complaints, they failed to respond which in my view would indicate a tacit carve-up of the market between the various service providers (who won't encroach on each other's territory). I am extremely angry that I am forced to pay for an incompetent service and have no freedom to access an alternative provider and believe that these exclusivity deals are clearly anti-competitive. | Castleforbes Square, Dublin 1 |

| 733 | Mick Wright | I worked for a home entertainment company some time back. We ensured when we signed up with a developer that the 'choice' of carrier was left up to the development company...or preferably the new home owner.
For the most part developers couldn't care less who puts infrastructure into their new homes. I say dump the lot of the carriers and go with broadband with voip and IP TV. What the development saves in installment time and talking to carriers can be spent putting cat6 into the development. | Northwood |

I really think that Dublin is really far from the other European Capital and the developpement made by "NOT INGENIERS" as they are really BAD are really really unsuccessful.
fyi This is really a big stupidity that NLT can connect houses at 500 meter from my house but not my house.
Welcome in Ireland. I thought leaving close the city centre will be easier for all the services but trust me this is just an illusion.
Welcome from a foreigner country and left in several countries in Europe and outside I can confirm that this is illegal to put only 1 service provider so the citizenS are not allowed to choose want they want.
