We the undersigned believe it is time to end the practice of granting local and regional geographic monopolies to cable companies. Information, news and knowledge are increasingly being delivered over the internet and through direct cable channels. Having only ONE provider of high speed access in a local community due to a government granted monopoly is anti-competitive and discourages innovation and service improvements.

It is time to open our cable lines to whoever can provide the fastest, cheapest and most reliable service. What we have now is often slow, expensive and/or unreliable. Time Warner, Cox, Verizon, AT&T, and others should ALL be allowed to compete for our business.
