did you know that our area appears to be excluded from all upgrades to super fast internet fibre infrastructures happening in East London? You can see on the map in this Telegraph article that the upgrade is happening all around us but we are left out : ( Telegraph article http://bit.ly/1nuAsmQ)

We have now at best 8mbps while next to us people have up to 20 times faster internet, up to 152 mbps.

All major fibre optic providers are upgrading their network in East London going as further east as Stratford, but for some mysterious reasons our area is being left behind . Nobody seems to plan any connection to super fast internet in our area in the near future. If we miss this very small window of opportunity we might left behind for years. We do not know why but there are concerns in the recent London Mayor report on connectivity that entire areas of London are being excluded from upgrades to the fast internet because they are left to "market forces". A connection to fibre optic connection may require 15 months or may be not happening at all.

This affects our daily professional and family life: be it working from home, research for our kids school homework or simply accessing online services from public services to online shopping or entertainment fast internet saves you a lot of time and improves your life. Moreover, being left behind from the Super fast internet will affect the value of our homes.

We are gathering signatures in our area to raise the power of our voices and signal urgently our request to be connected and be informed why our area is being excluded.
