Name: William J. McLaughlin on Mar 9, 2010Location: 8816 Barnett Valley Road Sebastopol, CaliforniaComments: This project is not in the best interests of the residents of Sebastopol and Sonoma County. It violates the general plan. Why are exceptions being made for this group? I suspect it involves money. The county supervisors are entrusted with the reponsibility to represent the public. By bending the established planning guidelines to accomodate a special interest group, the supervisors violate our trust and rob us of our rights.Flag

Name: Les Appel on Mar 16, 2010Location: Cincinnati, ohComments: I have visited sebastopol many times and appreciated its rural nature, yet sophisticated charm. Over the years, automobile traffic has increased. The addition of a wine production facility would have a tremendously negative environmental impact. It seems like the government is not considering the will of the people and is bowing to corporate pressure, just like the country in general. You have a wonderful community that will be significantly destroyed by the almighty lure of a little income. Listen to your constituents!! They voted for you so you would look after their best interests. Dr.Les AppelFlag

Name: Joy Helstien on Apr 19, 2010Location: 4820 Vine Hill Rd. SebastopolComments: This facility feels much too large for it's intended home. I work in Calistoga. The highway between Napa and Calistoga is dotted with wineries. And the traffic is horrible. My clients are often late due to traffic even when they leave extra time.I do not want to see this county be more and more about wine. Remember we are the Redwood Empire.Flag

Name: Larry Hanson on May 27, 2010Location: ForestvilleComments: The environmental impacts are too significant for the proposal. This is a neighborhood and should not be "industrialized" bringing potential problems of well water depletion, pollution, traffic, and other impacts. The winery project as described should not be approved.Flag
