Name: Liz Quijada on Feb 8, 2010Location: Occidental RdComments: I am adamantly opposed to this project. Potential developments should meet the General Plan requirements. The General Plan should not be changed to meet the demands of such a project as the Best Family Investors propose. The impact on the neighborhood and the precedent established by such an approval by the Board of Supervisors would be irreversible. I am not against wineries or the Best Family. My opposition has nothing to do with either of these two. The opposition has to do with the fact that this project is way too large to fit in the 7.61 acres, does not have the right zoning, does not meet the present land use, needs special legislation, and more. I urge the Board of Supervisors to vote "NO" on March 2nd.Flag

Name: Wendy Krupnick on Feb 11, 2010Location: Occidental Rd.Comments: I live a few miles from and drive by this corner frequently and feel that this location is totally inappropriate for such a large facility and that it would be a significant burden for this neighborhood. I am not opposed to more wineries, tasting rooms or events, but they should be located in either more urban industrial locations or on large parcels near major arteries.Flag

Name: Carol Vellutini on Feb 11, 2010Location: Laguna RoadComments: My mom has a house on Laguna Road. When we go into Sebastopol we go up Frei Road and to 116. This property is right down the road. Any outdoor events in the area can be heard for miles as sound travels a great distance in the country. Sometimes we use Occidental Road to go to High School Road. All these roads have traffic issues allready. There are also so many wells that already are impacted by the vineyards. This is not a smart place for a winery or a place for outdoor events. I know the Best family has been in the area for many years but enough is enough. No more amendments to the General Plan.Flag
