In recent years, the board of BYFL has violated various regulations set for Non-Profit Organizations. They continue to refuse to provide a detailed financial statement despite many requests. They refuse to use funding towards purchases for the players & cheerleaders outside of the standard uniforms (such as pink wear for October). They do not file required tax documents and claims every year. They are not a 501c3 organization, yet they claim to their supporters that they are. Funds/Spending are not adequately managed, voted on, and maintained, and there are concerns of misuse. They hold 3-5 fundraisers per year despite having significant funds for operations. They do not apply their rules & guidelines consistently and fairly to all. Despite the attempts of volunteers to change it, all of these matters continue to occur while being under the control of the same President.
