We ask Secretary of Transportation PETE BUTTIGIEG to introduce a bill to ban commercial billboards along roadways (with a speed limit >40 mph), including a removal project to dismantle existing billboards over the next 10 years, with 80% being done in the first 5.

The Highway Beautification Act has allowed for too many corporations to slip through loopholes and spoil our natural scenery with endless, inescapable advertisements.

As much as they're ugly, they're also distracting. Especially if we consider the technological advancements that allow for light-up, changing signs.

Billboards do nothing to advance our drive, or our experience of life.
