According to the rules of the University of Bristol Union, in order to be formally recognised as a University society, a group must gather 30 names of current UoB students who would be interested in participating in the potential society. The advantages of this recognition are wide-ranging and include, for example, the option to have a stall at FRESH, a place on the UBU website, and the possibility of (after two years of full-society status) funding from the Union.
If you would be interested in joining a U8 society at Bristol, please sign the petition below; there is no obligation to sign up formally though, if you subsequently change your mind. If you\'d like to be added to our mailing list, please include your email address - your details won\'t be passed on to any third parties, so no need to worry about that.
Bristol U8 is part of the global U8 network, which aims to aims to provide a non-partisan platform for students to engage, learn, voice their views, and make a positive impact in the field of global development. You can find out more at www.portalaid.eu or www.bristolu8.wordpress.com
