We are a group of 4th year nursing students at the University of Western Ontario. We have been assigned a political action project, and have collectively decided to petition for life-time bus passes on the LTC for Veterans of WWII and Korea. We feel the need to not only honour those who fought for us, but provide them with the means to travel around the city. While this initiative has been successful in other cities, there has been some resistance from our city council who do not feel as though this is a cause we should pursue. Please help us let city council know that there is public support for this initiative and for our Veterans.
