WE OPPOSE THE COMMON CORE STATE STANDARDS INITIATIVE

WE SUPPORT LOCAL CONTROL IN EDUCATION

The Common Core State Standards Initiative (CCSSI) undermines state sovereignty and parental involvement in public education in violation of our Constitution and federal laws. The Initiative imposes rigid and "common" academic standards of inferior quality, requires high stakes standardized testing that will drive curriculum, invades student and family privacy and proscribes unfunded mandates resulting in enormous costs to state taxpayers.

As a business owner, I oppose the Common Core State Standards Initiative and would like to state my opposition publically.
